Native American Powwow…

 

Folks from all over, especially Girl Scouts, are invited to this unique cultural experience at the Centre Square Convention Center in beautiful downtown Lebanon, Ky. This event offers an introduction to Native American culture with a museum, storytelling, crafts, music, dancing and more.

Tom Pablo family talks Native American culture and visitors are treated to an exhibit of artifacts, including black bear, buffalo and deer hides, cradle board, arrow heads and tomahawk stones.

There is an interactive band that allows kids to write songs then put them into words and uses Native American instruments. Plus, there is a Native American flute player!

Christopher Pablo and a troupe demonstrate Native American dancing and there is also Native American storytelling!

Refreshments are available and great dining opportunities are in the same block within walking distance. This is great family fun.

The Heart of Kentucky Native American Powwow is interesting, educational and entertaining. The event is open to the public but is geared towards Girls Scouts, their families and friends.
