Kentucky Basketball Developmental League...
The KBDL schedule is regionally based and allows teams to play at home and closer to home more often. The KBDL has attracted the interest of dozens of pro, semi-pro and international pro basketball players, coaches and managers since it began. It’s objective is to create a minor league system that develops and trains talent for the international professional basketball leagues. The Lancers are led by former University of Kentucky star Anthony Epps, former Mr. (Ky.) Basketball Elton Scott, Georgia Perimeter College’s LeMar Northington, IU Northwest’s Bradley Smith, Western Kentucky University’s Boris Siakam and Lindsey Wilson College’s Donte Williams. Former Western Kentucky University star Mark Bell has signed on to steer the Lancers along with Transylvania University standout Michelle King and Kentucky Wesleyan’s John Bell. Players that have competed in the KBDL include James Brewer (University of Louisville), Brandon Stockton (University of Kentucky), Chad Schweitzer (Indiana University), John Bentley (Eastern Kentucky University), Will Carleton (University of Utah/Georgetown), Brandon Jenkins (University of Louisville), Lamont Rolland (Louisiana State University), Perren Johnson (University of Louisville), Jaron Brown (University of Pittsburg) and Lamont Roland (Louisiana State University), For more information, contact KBDL Director of Operations Thom McQueen at 859.802.1076 or e-mail kyhoops1@fuse.net. 2008 Schedule – Games start at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted…
