Chili Cook-Off

Employees around the area are challenged to create a recipe and prepare enough to share with visitors who will vote, along with judges, on different categories.

A section of Main Street is reserved for participants to set up in close proximity to allow visitors to reach each contestant before the deadline to vote.

Winner receive a handmade pottery chili bowl. Proceeds from this event are donated to a local charity.

Each Thanksgiving weekend, enjoy an Old-fashioned Dickens Christmas with the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree, strolling carolers, live nativity, holiday brass band, a Christmas parade featuring Santa Claus as the grand marshal, free hot dogs, cider and hot chocolate and a chili cook-off.

Businesses extend their hours forChristmas shopping until 7 p.m., visit Christmas in the Park for a lovely stroll amongst festive lights and decorations and check out Angelic Hall in the Fine Arts Building at Centre Square, right after the parade, for the première of a New Old-Fashioned Melodrama by Kentucky Classic Theatre.

7:00 p.m. - Dickens Christmas Parade, featuring Santa Claus.
7:45 p.m. - "Lovely in Danger" -New Old-Fashioned Melodrama by Kentucky Classic Theatre inAngelic Hall in the Fine Arts Building at Centre Square - Tickets are $5 at the door
