A Kentucky Tourism Council Top 10 Summer Event, nearly 100 pilots from all over the U.S. participate in Jets Over Kentucky. This is the “Cant’ miss it!” event of the summer.

This year, the event will also feature a “Parade Of Lights” on Friday night. This exciting display will make you say “Ooooo…”

Come in early and enjoy the area attractions and other events. Contact the Lebanon Tourist & Convention Commission to have an itinerary created for you and tailored to your interest. We’ll make it easy for you!

Held at the picturesque Lebanon-Springfield Airport and bolstered by significant corporate and local sponsorship, it has become the thoroughbred of radio controlled jet shows.

While there are numerous prizes to be won by the RC pilots, the show is an exhibition for fans and an arena for the pilots to show off their skills and aircraft.

During the show days, pilots fly from 9 a.m. till dark on Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday.  There will also be helicopter demonstrations throughout the day, which will include an eight-foot long scale Apache.

Pilot tents run the length of the field, there is a separate area for manufacturers and there are plenty of food vendors.  Pilots receive a free dinner on Fri. and Sat. and two new prizes – a JR radio for flight tickets and a “Best Lights” winner – have been added to the list of nearly 20 prizes that will be given away.

A production of Lewis “The General” Patton and the River City Radio Controllers, Jets Over Kentucky is supported by several entities, including the Lebanon Tourist & Convention Commission, Jet Central, the City of Lebanon, the Lebanon-Springfield Airport and Airport FBO Jessica Bailey and Airport Boar d Chair Jim Tucker.

Central Kentucky is situated in the middle of one of the largest concentrations of radio control jet pilots in the country and the Lebanon-Springfield Airport features a 5,000-foot runway, making it ideal for such an event.

Jets Over Kentucky provides an opportunity to see some amazing aircraft, have fun and catch up on the latest trends in the RC industry. For more information, call 502.429. 6365 or e-mail lewisthegeneral@hotmail.com.
