Where else can you stand in the geographic center of the state, watch bourbon flow and barrels grown, experience some of the world's most unique sights and events and eat until you're about to bust?  Come feel the beat in Lebanon, the true Heart of Kentucky!

This is one of the oldest and most successful community festivals in Kentucky. First celebrated in 1970 with six hams and a handful of visitors, now more than 6,000 pounds of country ham are needed to serve the thousands of visitors who travel to Lebanon each year during the last full weekend in September.

Celebrating its 42nd year, the theme for 2011 is “Hometown pride, countywide,” honoring the county and all the communities within that have made it successful in all its endeavors.

Besides a country ham breakfast under a tent, Ham Days features the PIGasus Parade with more than 100 entries, contests, live entertainment, carnival rides, a classic car, truck and motorcycle show, art and crafts, a flea market, the Farmers National Bank Pokey Pig 5K Fun Run/Walk and more.

The 2011 Grand Marshall is Christine Mattingly, the 2011 Kentucky Junior Miss.

Bring the entire family to this fun-filled event and enjoy the country life of Kentucky at its finest at a big time festival with small town charm. For more information, call 270.692.9594, e-mail smattingly@marioncountykychamber.com, or visit www.hamdays.com.
