Winner of the 2008, 2009 and 2011 Kentucky Tourism Industry Award Top 10 Events and honorable mention for the KTIA Top 10 of 2010. Held in early January at the Roby Dome in Lebanon, this event features a special guest headliner plus Gary "Biscuit" Davis, three-time national banjo picking champion who records with Dolly Parton and performs with her in her Christmas show in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and several guest performers. The very special guest for KBMK '12 is The Grascals. Plus, see the Kentucky Bluegrass Quilt Show, comedians The Moron Brothers and more. " Come Play With Biscuit" is held on Friday night. Local groups plus The Hagar's Mountain Boys perform old favorites and other bluegrass musicians are invited to bring their favorite song for an opportunity to come on stage and perform with Davis.
Workshops for musicians will be held throughout Saturday morning and afternoon, conducted by Davis and other professionals. The small stage will be available Saturday afternoon for jamming sessions.
